Top pick: #5 (ROYAL FORTUNE) - Has the best turf outing of any entered, a strong second place finish "down the hill" at Santa Anita on March 6, her first appearance on the grass. Freshened-up since by the Neil Drysdale barn, she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Gumption) - Daughter of "More Than Ready" comes off the best race of her career, a second-place finish here on the "Poly" May 16. Working fast since, she'll be trying the infield for the first time. Deserving, and about equal with the top pick.
3rd pick: #3 (Shiska) - Daughter of "Johannesburg" showed some talent in her first pair earlier this year on the Santa Anita "poly." In the Pat Biancone barn as he tries to rebuild his career, trainer is off to a good start here (15-3-0-4), and built his reputation with turf runners. Threat.
