Top pick: #2 (LORD VRONSKY) - He's always had ability and broke his maiden last out at Santa anita racing for 440K. Effort came in his second off a trainer switch to Mike Mitchell and this gelding is working fast on this surface for his first facing winners. Three-year-old can make it two in a row this afternoon.
2nd pick: #4 (Merlin Z) - Grey gelding hasn't run since breaking his maiden in impressive fashion at santa Anita on Jan. 7. Working fast locally for his return, and that includes a bullet 5-furlong breeze from the gate on Nov. 11. Has plenty of speed and is a win candidate if "fully cranked" for his comebacker.
3rd pick: #1 (Indian Gaming) - Gelding by "Tribal Rule" is working fast on this surface for his first race since breaking his maiden at Del Mar on Aug. 14. Trainer Marty Jones is off to a strong start here and it's nice to see Bejarano take the re-ride.
