Top pick: #5 (GILLIGAN) - The probable favorite went wire-to-wire to win here for $16K at this trip June 17th in his first race off a four month layoff. Runs for trainer Mike Mitchell (who's having an incredible meet at 59-25-5-7) and this gelding catches a field without much other speed. Very tough to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Hunter Creek) - Races off his fourth straight claim and hard-hitting veteran has won for his previous three trainers. Goes this afternoon for Bob Troeger and he brings him back in 22 days with just a slight rise in price. Very dangerous rival.
3rd pick: #3 (Diplo) - He drops down after chasing and tiring facing Cal-bred $25K-optional claimers on the grass May 28th and his new trainer (Len Powell) will move him to the main-track where he broke his maiden in his only previous start in May of 2010. Can factor at a nice price.
