Daughter of "Unusual Heat" had a tough outside post that day going 5 furlongs and gets an extra 1/8th of a mile to run tonight. Faces no big drop downs this evening and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Dancehill Diva) - First time starter by "Skimming" is in a solid first-out barn (Bob Diodoro 20%) and she had a near bullet half-mile work from the gate at Santa Anita on Oct. 23. Against this group, whoever gets to the top is potentially dangerous, and it could be this filly.
3rd pick: #9 (Smokey Lake) - She's taken money in both her starts and has raced evenly in each. Filly by "Salt Lake" had problems at the start in her debut, then was forced very wide in her latest. Contends for the top spot.
