2nd pick: #7 (Real Obvious) - Tired badly last out on the Fairplex dirt but she's a better runner on "poly" anyway. In a good barn (Jeff Mullins) and mare finished second at this level Aug. 21 at Del Mar. It's nice to see Marty Garcia back aboard and this runners flexible style is plus. Field is weak, and she has a chance at the win.
3rd pick: #4 (Suitable Attire) - Lightly-raced filly finished second twice at this level on the Fairplex dirt and she continues to show steady improvement. Has good early speed and gets a major rider upgrade this evening to Pat Valenzuela. Win candidate.
