Top pick: #4 (LONE JUSTICE ) - Drops into a claimer, shortens up in distance, goes turf to "poly" and runs for a new trainer this evening (Bob Troeger). Gelding has a very fast work here Oct. 15 and meets a very weak field. He's shown good early speed in most of his races and can win this on the front end.
2nd pick: #7 (Absolutlypositivly) - Probable favorite has run well in all three starts at this level including a solid third-place finish here on Oct. 1. Draws a good post for this tricky 7.5 furlong distance and is an obvious win candidate, and the likely winner if the top pick isn't up to the task.
3rd pick: #6 (Noble Cavalier) - Lightly-raced gelding is showing some signs of improvement and has a pair of good works on this surface after finishing third last out on the Fairplex dirt. Has a bit more speed than most and should have good position turning for home.
