Top pick: #7 (ANCIENT ROME) - He was impressive maiden winner at Delaware Park Oct. 22 and the final time was very fast and the "figure" earned a nice one for a 2-year-old. He has a trio of works at Palm Meadows since coming to Florida and gets the call in this late season 2-year-old dash.
2nd pick: #3 (Vexor) - He had no shot in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint at Churchill a month ago when he broke poorly and tired badly after racing wide. In his previous start he won the Nashua S.(G2) at this trip racing at Belmont Park. Colt has a pair of Bullet works since and this field is pretty light for the level. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Luke of York) - He's undefeated (2-for-2) and has shown a lot of grit and determination in doing so. Both of those wins came on "poly" surfaces and he'll be racing on real dirt for the first time. In an excellent Chicago-based barn (Jim DiVito) and this son of "Put It Back" has a pair of fine local drill showing. Stretch threat.
