Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (FASHION FAUX PAS) (4-1) - A daughter of the very popular 'Flatter' has won two in a row, the latest a small stakes going 6 furlongs at Tampa Bay Downs Dec. 15. A very good mid-Atlantic based trainer (Arnaud Delacour) has worked her five times since with the latest being a bullet half-mile there Jan. 26. She faces a much tougher field, but has a recency edge on the heavy favorite and Delacour has Javier Castellano aboard.
nd pick: #4 (Feedback) (6-5) - The morning line and probable heavy favorite, she's been on the sidelines since an eye-popping win when debuting at 6 1/2 furlongs Aug. 12 at Saratoga. She won by 8 lengths without being asked to do much and stopped the clock in 1:16.20. It earned her the highest figure of any entered and she's been working fast at Palm Meadows. An obvious strong win candidate at a short price.
rd pick: #5 (Brunette Princess) (20-1) - Longhsot is one of two entered with a local win which came here going 6 furlongs facing fellow Florida breds Dec. 6. In her follow up Jan 5, she finished 3rd in a $75K stakes for state breds. Think she's capable of getting a minor award at a big price.
th pick: #8 (Hollywood Glory) (10-1) - Unraced since Nov. 25, she finished a pace-setting second that afternoon going a mile on a muddy track at Aqueduct in the $95K Tepin Stakes. She has a fine series of local works on view and a fast and/or contested pace would help her chances out.
th pick: #7 (Bye Bye J) (8-1) - She's been competitive in all three starts and won a $75K stakes here going 6 furlongs Dec. 8. Working steadily since it's noted that trainer Ron Spatz has John Velazquez aboard for this attempt.
