Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (SHE'S RIGHT AGAIN) (8-1) - Longshot ships from Tampa Bay Downs where she was an easy winner going a mile facing $16K starter-handicap foes. Stalker has the rail and I think she can be competitive at a square price despite moving up in class. I give her a slim edge in a race where you are advised to box your bets.
2nd pick: #4 (Diamond Play) (9-2) - Veteran mare rallied to finish second at this level and distance Nov. 18 at Gulfstream Park West. The 5yo has gone 8-3-3-0 on the grass and loves this trip 4-2-2-0. A strong player today.
3rd pick: #5 (Nantucket Red) (5-1) - Lightly raced 3yo has been freshened up since tiring at this distance on a sloppy track Oct. 31 at Churchill Downs in a contest that was taken 'off the turf'. She been working very fast locally for her return and is nicely spotted by trainer Bill Mott.
4th pick: #3 (Fool's Gold) (4-1) - This daughter of 'Medaglia d'Oro' sold for $425,000 as a 2yo in training back in March of 2017. Stretch runner has shown some ability on the grass, is in the barn of Chad Brown, and this filly still has room for upside.
