Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (READY DANCER) (5-2) - Promising colt from the Pletcher barn makes his turf debut in this spot. He broke his maiden in late August at Saratoga, but has been in pretty 'deep' in latest pair, both high end 'graded' stakes. Freshened up since Oct. 17th, he's working nicely, and is bred for the grass.
nd pick: #9 (Brass Compass) (7-2) - Lightly raced and well bred, $350K gelding by 'Malibu Moon' enters off a pair of close up finishes in turf stakes. He has a speed/stalking style and a recency edge on 'Ready Dancer.'
rd pick: #7 (Imperial Warrior) (20-1) - Longshot has had very wide trips in three straight starts after breaking from tough outside posts in each. Stretch runner draws a better slot and may grab a share at a big price.
th pick: #3 (Two Step Time) (10-1) - He broke his maiden Nov. 5th racing at Gulfstream Park West for a $50K tag. In a good barn (Mike Maker), and it's noted that J.J. Castellano is aboard for the first time.
th pick: #1 (Sakara) (8-1) - Zayat home bred fought it out to get a narrow win when debuting at a mile on the Meadowlands turf Oct. 24th. The field was weak, but he showed some talent. Needs to really step it up some in this spot.
