He had the rail and was bumped at the break, so the effort was a strong one. He moves off the inside, runs 3rd back following a two month freshening, and I give this stalker a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Zanno) (9-2) - Lightly raced and quick from the gate, he's been on the sidelines for the past eight months. Very sharp in both grass sprints, he's working fast at the Palm Meadows Center, and is from the excellent barn of Wesley Ward, 22% off of long layoffs since Jan 1 of 2019.
3rd pick: #4 (Young Raymond) (6-1) - Another with early speed, he broke his maiden by 4 lengths here at this distance for a $25,000 price tag Feb 26. Sharp in all three since coming off a 5 month layoff Dec 19, he runs today first off a Mike Maker claim. In the mix.
4th pick: #9 (Miami Crockett) (7-2) - As mentioned above, he was a length better than a troubled 'Bahamian Prince here March 5 and is now a perfect two for two in grass sprints. He has early speed but so do others and he'll to deal with that and also try and avoid a wide trip.
