2nd pick: #9 (Santa Monica) (7-2) - An English import, she raced both wide and evenly when never involved in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) at Churchill Downs Nov. 3. She had gone 5-2-1-2 heading into that during 2018 and had exchange decisions with 'Holy Helena' during the late spring/early summer. A win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Tricky Escape) (6-1) - This veteran mare won three stakes in a row last year and each came at different tracks. When last in action she missed by a 1/2 length in a G3 at Aqueduct Nov. 24. She runs off a private trainer change to John Servis and this professional stalker must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #3 (English Affair) (8-1) - Longshot rallied to win a G3 at Churchill Downs Nov. 22 going 9 furlongs. long-winded type should love this 1.5 mile distance and she has Javier Castellano aboard for the first time. A late threat.
