Top pick: #8 (BRIDLED HEIRESS) (2-1) - Grey filly has been heavily backed in both starts and was a very impressive maiden winner here on March 2nd going 6-furlongs. She's worked fast since, draws a nice post at this trip, and has a recency edge on her main rival.
nd pick: #2 (Miss Melinda) (7-2) - Daughter of "Malibu Moon" hasn't raced since she was a 6 1/2 length winner when debuting at Belmont at this distance Oct. 13. $100K yearling purchase has been in steady training at Payson Park since early Feb. and is an obvious threat if ready.
rd pick: #6 (Shogun Samurai) (8-1) - Lightly-raced filly is another that scored in her debut here in late Dec., then tired a month later at this level in her first facing winners. On the sidelines since, filly has been working sharply for her return.
th pick: #9 (Cajun Sunrise) (5-1) - Strong finisher rallied from far back to break her maiden here on Feb. 17. Filly has worked fast since and should get a quick and/or contested pace to rally into.
th pick: #7 (Shanagarry) (12-1) - Longshot is racing third back off a two month layoff and will be trying a conventional dirt surface for the first time. May grab a small share at a very big price.
