Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (SPICY NELLY) (7-2) - Blinkers go on filly who hasn't raced since Jan. 19 and does so off a private trainer change to George Navarro (20% with new arrivals). Home bred has a flexible style and it's noted that Javier Castellano is aboard for the first time. She gets a very small edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Mahvelous Kitten) (2-1) - Daughter of 'Kitten's Joy' rallied to finish second here in a $60K stakes Feb. 17. A career best, it came in her first off a $20,000 claim by Armando De la Cerda Jan. 31. Filly is down in class, has blinkers added, and leading rider Luis Saez stays with her. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Proud O'Paddy) (4-1) - Speed/stalker is very lightly-raced and had some traffic issues when finishing 2.5 lengths in back of 'Mahvelous Kitten' Feb. 17. She should be involved every step.
4th pick: #5 (Karenina) (5-1) - Very busy filly seems to thrive on being active and enters off of six competitive starts in a row dating back to mid-September. Capable at the level and distance and she must be left in the mix.
