Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (RICHIES GREAT GIRL) (3-1) - Lightly race homebred has been competitive in all five starts and has won three of those all facing 'open' company. Stalker is in with fellow Florida breds for the first time, has Lasix added, and 3yo gets top billing.
2nd pick: #7 (Up in Smoke) (7-2) - She was an impressive debut winner here at this distance Feb. 8 over 10 state-bred rivals at this distance. Bet down to 5-2, she won by almost 5 lengths in fast time 1:10.60, has worked twice since, and has John Velazquez aboard in place of Irad Ortiz Jr who opts for 'Richies Great Girl'. An obvious contender.
3rd pick: #4 (Belladonna) (4-1) - Away since Aug. 23, this $125K filly by 'Bayern' was an easy maiden winner here that afternoon. Very fast from the gate, she has a fine series of works showing and can factor if ready.
4th pick: #6 (Mercyside) (6-1) - Home bred has been freshened up since a gate-to-wire maiden win here by 2 lengths going 5 furlongs in an 'off the turf' contest Dec. 22. Another that's working fast, she must be left in the mix.
