Top pick: #5 (IT'S MACARONI) (7-2) - Daughter of "City Zip rallied to finish second of nine, beaten 1 1/2 lengths racing here at this level and distance Jan. 23. It was her first back from a 4-month layoff and she can take this with any additional improvement.
2nd pick: #8 (Ozone) (10-1) - Longshot ran very poorly last out going a mile on the grass. She was favored that day after a good effort in her previous start at this 5-furlong distance. Can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #4 (Moon Solomoon) (10-1) - Filly has improved in her last pair, both turf sprints facing a bit tougher. Barn drops her just a bit and she's a threat with a late run.
4th pick: #3 (Miss Saturday Nite) (8-1) - She's clearly a better horse when on the grass. Filly ran very poorly last out in a dirt sprint and trainer Tim Hills immediately moves her back to the turf. Capable of impacting with her "A" game.
5th pick: #12 (Rose Graciela) (6-1) - "Rose" enters off a career best when she finished a rallying third at this trip Feb. 20. It was her first in almost three months and a positive one. Her lack of speed, combined with an outside post may limit her to a minor award.
