Top pick: #4 (BLUSH AGAIN) (4-1) - Daughter of "Kitten's Joy" has shown some early speed facing tougher, going longer, on the turf. She cost $130K as a 2-year-old in training sale and trainer Wayne Catalano will make some big changes this afternoon. He drops her into a claimer, shortens her up in distance, and moves her to the dirt for the first time. She had a near bullet half-mile breeze on Jan. 26 on this surface and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (See Trouble) (5-2) - Nice effort here on Jan. 29 saw her rate early, swing out turning for home, and rally to miss by a 1/2 length. It came facing a bit weaker in a switch contest and was her first off a positive trainer change to Jane Cibelli.
3rd pick: #8 (Lucky Black) (15-1) - Longshot rallied to finish fourth here sprinting on the grass Feb. 21. Nice effort came off a seven week break and trainer Ed Coletti moves her back to the dirt and adds blinkers.
4th pick: #2 (Philomene) (6-1) - Dizney home-bred hasn't shown much in a pair facing much tougher, but it's noted that daughter of "Successful Appeal" was bet in both. Drops, is working nicely, and she should factor on the class reduction.
