Top pick: #8 (SUMMER FLIGHT) - Big effort last out as she came up a 1/2 length short to today's rival "Streamin Heat". Race was her first in 70 days and she should be a bit sharper this afternoon for a barn (Wayne Catalano) that wins at a 36% rate 2nd back off a rest.
2nd pick: #9 (Streamin Heat) - Very consistent speedster made the top here on Jan.13th despite a poor start and was never headed going wire-to-wire to just hold on. Similar tactics will be used today and she's a win threat right bacck.
3rd pick: #3 (Candy Cane) - Veteran sprinter comes here by way of Turfway Park where she finished close-up in a pair of stakers. Can sprint on the turf and brings a good late kick. Contender.
4th pick: #7 (Xpectation) - New Zealand import won going a mile on the Arlington turf last fall and has ben freshened-up following a poor effort in early Nov. at Hawthorne. Working well and she's a nice longshot to use in the exactas.
