Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (DRIVEN TO COMPETE) (8-5) - He's racing for the first time since early April. He's finished third in both starts, is working fast at Palm Beach Downs for trainer Todd Pletcher (31% off of long layoffs) and he returns as a NEW gelding. Four-year-old draws a fine outside post and has John Velazquez aboard.
2nd pick: #5 (Brooklyn Bobby) (5-2) - Colt finished second in three of four earlier this year on the grass before checking in third at Belmont June 11 in his first ever on the dirt. He has a fine series of works showing for his first since then and trainer Brian Lynch has Jose Ortiz taking the mount.
3rd pick: #4 (Mr Atila) (15-1) - Longhsot switches from turf to dirt in his third back following a pair of layoffs. Colt has finished in four of six on the main track and should be making up some ground late.
4th pick: #2 (Spectacular Jack) (6-1) - 'Jack' has only made one start and that came on Sept. 3 of 2016 at Saratoga. Grey son of 'Tapit' cost $550,000 and obviously has some major issues. He enters of a near bullet 5 furlong local work Dec. 28 and trainer Mark Hennig (2-for-3 at the meet) has Irad Ortiz Jr aboard.
