Top pick: #2 (PIXIE DEVIL) (3-1) - She's one of two entered here by trainer Marty Wolfson and the pair race uncoupled. This lightly-raced filly tired in the final furlong to finish fourth here at this level and distance on Dec. 21. Race was her first in 110 days and first for Wolfson after shipping south from the mid-Atlantic region. She has the best early speed of this field and she gets a slight edge over her barn-mate.
2nd pick: #9 (Arriba Anna) (5-2) - The second of the Wolfson pair, she exits the same last race as "Pixie" and was three lengths clear of her at the finish. Lightly-raced, well-bred, draws a nice post, and is the likely winner if her stable-mate isn't up to the task.
3rd pick: #6 (Liberated) (8-1) - She ships down from Kentucky where she ran a career best when taking an entry-level allowance at this distance on Nov. 29. Daughter of "Curlin" likes this trip at 3-2-1-0, and is working well at Payson Park.
4th pick: #5 (Private Ensign) (4-1) - In the Pletcher barn, she hasn't raced since early May and gives away a big recency edge to thw Wolfson fillies. On the plus side, she's working nicely for her return and likes this surface (3-2-0-1).
