Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (CODRINGTON) (3-1) - This New York bred mare rallied to miss by a 'nose' here at this distance for a $35K price tag Dec. 27. Claimed that day by Liz Dobles, she's won with 10 of 28 (36%) fresh off that transaction since Jan. 1 of 2019 and she has this 5yo nicely spotted where she can't lose her on a 12-day turnaround. I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Take Charge Tina) (4-1) - She moves back to the grass after winning by a 'nose' here in a 8.5 furlong'off the turf' contest Dec. 22 for a $35K tag. Competitive in her prior start facing tougher on the Aqueduct turf Nov 21, this speed/stalker is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Feature Creature) (8-1) - Longshot has been competitive in five straight on the grass since returning from a 2.5 month break in early July. She has more speed than most and think she can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #8 (Tiple) (9-2) - New York invader likes to come from off the pace and is stretching out in distance while dropping down a bit for her first race in two months. Her outside post is of no help, but a fast and/or contested pace would be beneficial for her late running style.
