Top pick: #3 (VINCEREMOS) (3-1) - He's one of two entered by Todd Pletcher and the pair give the trainer a strong hand in this maiden contest. This colt was bet heavily when debuting here in a sprint on Nov. 30 and did well to run second on a very sloppy surface. He's worked three-times since and Pletcher (34% second-time out) stretches him out to a mile. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Constitution) (5-2) - The second of the Pletcher pair, $400K son of "Tapit" is working very fast for his debut and attracts J.J. Castellano. If he runs to his AM drills, the rest are in trouble.
3rd pick: #10 (Legend) (10-1) - He's another that's working fast for his debut, but unlike "Constitution," his trainer (Jim Bond) rarely has them at 100% first out. That said, this son of "Tiznow's" drills are impressive and he draws a nice outside post at this mile trip.
4th pick: #4 (My Storm Trooper) (5-1) - Speed/stalker has finished second in two straight on this surface and last out did so in a two-turn contest. He faces a tough field today, but should be involved from gate-to-wire.
5th pick: #9 (Buck Magic) (12-1) - He tired last out at Churchill going 8.5-furlongs, but had missed by only a "neck" in his previous start going 7/8ths. Working fine since shipping, and he could get a share at a nice price.
