Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #12 (NORTHERN) (2-1) - Speedy and lightly-raced, colt tired late to finish third here as the favorite racing at this level and distance Jan. 21. He was racing off a 5.5 month layoff and trainer Wesley Ward has him making back-to-back starts for the first time. He worked him on Feb. 13 and has veteran Joel Rosario aboard today.
2nd pick: #6 (Timeiseverything) (5-1) - He's been on the sidelines since July 16. Bred/owned/trained by Mark Casse, gelding is working fast at Palm Meadows for his return. He showed some ability here in both starts last summer and is dangerous if ready.
3rd pick: #10 (Reason to Soar) (8-1) - One of seven making their debuts, this gelding sold for $110,000 last April as a 2-year-old in training. He has some fine works showing and it's noted that Jose Ortiz is aboard.
4th pick: #13 (Exclusive Package) (6-1) - Away since Aug. 7, he finished a close up fourth that afternoon in a sprint stakes on the Monmouth grass. Colt has checked in second in his dirt debut there June 18 and this $25K purchase breezed a bullet five furlongs at Tampa Bay Downs Jan. 15.
5th pick: #7 (Entangled) (10-1) - Another making his debut, trainer Ralph Nicks (18% first out) has breezed this colt eight times since Dec. 30. He can factor with a clean break.
