2nd pick: #7 (Solve) (9-2) - Gelding rallied to win here at this distance Jan. 18 in his seventh consecutive solid effort. Claimed that afternoon by George Navarro for $12,500, trainer most likely had this race in mind. He wins at an 18% rate off the claim and he's breezed this veteran twice heading into this attempt.
3rd pick: #6 (Griff) (6-1) - His lack of speed is a bit of a concern, but he's been sharp in two straight here and is working very fast at Gulfstream Park West (the former Calder facility). If the pace is fast and/or contested he should be closing strongly.
4th pick: #10 (Rhythm Park) (8-1) - Blinkers go on longshot who has raced evenly here in his last pair. Veteran was 5 lengths behind 'Griff' last out but was bumped at the break and knocked off stride. Six-year-old can factor at a square price.
