Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (BATTLE RED) (6-1) - Speedy sort is racing first off a Kate O'Connell claim, is going second back from a two month layoff, is stretching out in distance, and has blinkers added. 4-year-old by 'Kitten's Joy' was making up ground at this level going five furlongs Jan 21 and looks set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #6 (Natural Order) (4-1) - Lasix is added and owner/trainer Roy Lerman is dropping him to a new low in class. He's finished close up in two straight here facing tougher and is a strong win threat.
3rd pick: #1 (Veya) (9-2) - It took him 17 starts to break his maiden, but he's been sharp in all six races when facing winners. Speed/stalker fits at the level and distance, is in shape, and breaks from the rail. Dangerous in this spot.
4th pick: #10 (Golden Spear) (12-1) - Very lightly-raced, he was two lengths behind 'Veya' last out and draws a tough outside post. Needs some breaks for anything more than a minor award.
