Top pick: #5 (BOSS MAN MIKE) (8-1) - Speedy colt has been tiring badly of late, but all have come facing much tougher special weights. Trainer Dale Romans drops him way down in class for this attempt, and son of "Street Sense" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Reach for Yield) (5-2) - The probable favorite, son of "Curlin" raced evenly when debuting in a dirt sprint at Belmont Oct. 12th, and has been on the sidelines since. Trainer Chad Brown (28% second time out) drops him down, moves him the the grass, and stretches him out in distance. Working well, and a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Rumble Time) (3-1) - Away slowly when debuting on the Woodbine "poly" Oct. 19th, he tired after rushing up to chase the pace. In a top Canadian barn (Roger Attfield), he drops in class, and like "Yield," is stretching out in distance and trying the turf, both for the first time.
4th pick: #7 (Grizzle) (4-1) - He has some ability and is racing first off a negative barn switch off a claim. Gelding has been competitive in his last pair, and finished a close up fourth here at this tag on the grass Jan. 1st.
