Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (SLENCER) (5-1) - Very lightly-raced, daughter of 'Paynter' has been on the sidelines since breaking her maiden June 24 at Monmouth Park. Four-year-old cost a bundle ($300,000) and has been brought along slowly by 'Hall of Famer' Bill Mott. Working fast at Payson Park, she can win this if ready, but make sure you box your exactas in this difficult contest.
2nd pick: #2 (What About Tonight) (3-1) - Veteran shortens up a bit and a turn in this one-mile contest. Very consistent 4-year-old has gone 21-6-5-4 on the dirt and is 7-3-2-0 at this distance. In a wining barn (George Navarro) he's adding blinkers and this filly is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Three Ilusions) (4-1) - Much like 'What About Tonight' she's consistent 13-3-4-2 and most all her best races have come here at Gulfstream. Stalker has the rail, is in shape, and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Raging Town ) (7-2) - Home bred broke her maiden going 7 furlongs here Jan. 14. It was her first since late Feb. of 2017 and speed/stalker is lightly raced and has plenty of room for upside. It's a plus that Jose Ortiz stays aboard.
