Premium Pick

Top pick: #9 (GEISHA GAL) (4-1) - Lightly-raced filly rallied to finsh just over two lengths back racing here at this level and disnace on Jan. 13. Trainer Bill Mott has her working fast since and I like her chances.

2nd pick: #2 (Authenticity) (8-5) - The probable heavy favorite, she's a very lightly raced 6-year-old and comes off a very easy win here facing weaker on the dirt Jan. 21. She has a bullet work since and trainer Todd Pltecher will race her on the grass for the first time. Obvious win candidate.

3rd pick: #6 (Cypress Pond) (5-1) - One of two fillies entered by trainer George Arnold II and the pair race uncoupled. She moves up in class after a solid second-place finish here facing $50K claimers on Jan. 11. Effort was a career best and she can factor at a square price.

4th pick: #3 (Annie Russell) (8-1) - The second of the Arnold fillies, she ran evenly last year in five appearances and runs today off a three month layoff. Working fine and she should be 8-1 or longer.
