Top pick: #7 (LIEUTENANT RON) - Highly thought of his whole career, he still remains an enigma at this point. Has big talent when "right", but his resume has been full of layoffs. Working adequately and it looks like "First Word" is the only serious rival.
2nd pick: #5 (First Word) - Talented runner is working well for his first race in 14 months. Stakes-place veteran is working sharply for trainer Bob Frankel and has won off of layoffs in the past (though none were of this length). Best chance at an upset.
3rd pick: #2 (Drafon Fi) - Has a chance at the exacta if "Word" is sub-par off the long break. Late runner enters in-shape and will pick off some late.
