Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (FOOLISH HUMOR) (7-2) - She finished 3rd here in a stakes race at this trip March 21 and was beaten by today's rival 'Compensate.' It was her first race in just over six months, and she was bumped hard at the break before rushing up. Irad Ortiz, Jr. gets aboard, and I give this $200K purchase a slight edge in a contest where you should definitely box your wagers.
2nd pick: #3 (Fast Scene) (3-1) - The field's most accomplished filly, she won three of four last year facing her own sex, including a pair of stakes at Woodbine, one each on turf and the all-weather surface there. Her only poor effort came when facing males in her seasonal finale Oct. 6 at Keeneland. Quick from the gate, her works for her return are all very fast, and she's a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Compensate) (5-1) - She finished 2nd last out in the same local stakes March 21 that saw 'Foolish Humor' check-in 3rd. Stalker has gone 7-3-2-1 to date, and her outside post will give Luis Saez some early options. Another win candidate.
4th pick: #9 (Envied) (6-1) - Lightly raced filly rallied to miss by a length here at this distance April 17 in her first start since Nov. 30. A home-bred daughter of 'American Pharoah,' she's capable of getting a share if the pace is fast and/or contested.
