2nd pick: #2 (Verdict Is In) (5-2) - Gelding drops down a bit after missing by a 'neck' here at this distance for a $20,000 claiming price Feb. 28. Stretch runner has a ground saving post and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Earthquake) (8-1) - Another of the two-time winners, state bred was an easy winner at this level and distance Feb. 15 in a contest that was taken 'off the turf.' He had broken his maiden on the grass in his previous start and is a late threat today if able to avoid a wide trip.
4th pick: #7 (Allgorilla) (5-1) - He's taking a big drop following three straight non-competitive efforts facing tougher. The colt fits on a figure basis and should factor as he gets some much needed class relief.
