Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (ALPHADAR) (3-1) - He's racing third back from an almost 100-day layoff and is dropping down in price while switching from turf to dirt. This 4yo was competitive at this distance last year on the So. California circuit on the dirt, and I like his chances today.
2nd pick: #8 (Love Sick Kitten) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, he's taking a big drop in price and is racing on the dirt for the first time. He has by far the best form and figures, and will be very tough if he brings his grass efforts to the main track.
3rd pick: #7 (Talking Zip) (8-1) - This longshot has early speed, though he tired last out after setting a quick and pressured pace at this tag and trip Feb. 20. A capable barn (Armando De La Cerda) has leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard for the first time, and that's an interesting development.
4th pick: #5 (Dazzling Prose) (5-1) - This Florida bred has picked up small slices at this level and distance and may do so again in this spot.
