Top pick: #9 (NO FLATTERY NEEDED) - Colt finished a fine second last out at Tampa going 7 furlongs in an entry-level allowance. A very good barn (Marty Wolfson) bring him to Gulfstream and drops him into a claimer for this mile attempt. Well set-up and he's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (British Banker) - Canadian invader is in a top outfit, Stronach Stables/Joe Orseno and has raced well in all four of his starts on the Woodbibe "poly." Races today on real dirt for the first time, runs off a 3 1/2 month layoff, and races in a claimer for the first time. Dangerous rival.
3rd pick: #2 (Fitzaslew) - He has some races in his past that could win this but he was not particularly sharp last out when he finished a non-threatening 4th here Jan. 8 at this level and distance. Claimed that day I believe he'll be much more competitive today.
