Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (SUMNER) (5-2) - Well bred colt is very lightly raced and is taking a big drop in class while switching from grass to dirt. Son of 'Union Rags' cost $120K and tired here when debuting on the turf for a $50K tag Dec. 22. Trainer Todd Pletcher (31% second time out) has him meeting a very weak field with leading rider Luis Saez aboard.
2nd pick: #1 (Dino Dude) (2-1) - Speed/stalker has finished second in four of his last five and just missed here at this tag and trip Dec. 15. In career best form and he's a serious win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #6 (Somedreamscometrue) (7-2) - He's moving back to the dirt and dropping back down after tiring while wide on the local grass facing tougher Dec. 17. He had just missed at this trip on the main track at Laurel Nov. 12 before shipping south and speed/stalker must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #7 (Stonehart Park) (20-1) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old hasn't shown much in either start, one each on dirt and turf. However, he's in a crafty barn (Marc Vitali) and may grab a share at long odds.
