Top pick: #2 (PICOZZA) (3-1) - Colt did well in his debut to finish fifth of 12 after a "stumbling" start and a very wide trip at Belmont on Oct. 27. Trainer Todd Pletcher (35% second out) has him working steadily at the Palm Meadows training center and J.J. Castellano is back on the re-ride.
2nd pick: #7 (Summer Cove) (7-2) - Lasix and blinkers are added to son of "Street Boss" who raced evenly and wide when debuting in a 7-furlong grass contest at Belmont Oct. 2. He has some very fast works showing since coming to Florida and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Waco) (12-1) - Expensive ($200K) colt ships from New York where he ran evenly at Aqueduct at this distance and level Nov. 16. Working nicely at Palm Meadows and this son of "Medaglia d'Oro" is with a trainer (Jim Bond) who brings his young horses along slowly.
4th pick: #6 (Royale Sky) (6-1) - His best race so far came when he set a pressured pace and held well to finish second of 10, beaten just over a length on the Churchill turf at this trip on Nov. 30. That was his only grass attempt so far and he's a big threat with a repeat of it.
