Top pick: #4 (CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH) - Consistent veteran has more turf wins (7) than any other entered. Stalker draws a nice post and is coming off a 42 day rest. Rider upgrade to Desormeaux means that they like his chances.
2nd pick: #7 (Warrior's Way) - Late runner returns from a two month freshening for trainer Phil Gleaves. He finished close-up in his 4 fall starts after coming back from a 7 month break. Win contender.
3rd pick: #8 (Jim Jack N Johnny) - He has some speed, but will give away a lot of experience to the majority here. There isn't a lot of "pure" speed signed up, so he may take them a long ways.
4th pick: #9 (Mecke Me Free) - Logical contender is a lot like "Warrior". Late runner is returning from a short break and should be a factor down the stretch.
5th pick: #1 (Jabbock) - Stretch-out sprinter has only tried the turf once in his 26 race career. Pretty solid runner at this level on dirt, and from his rail post he could be in it a long time.
