2nd pick: #1 (Parol) (3-1) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old has finished second in four of her last five starts and did so here Dec. 17. Stalker is working steadily, has the rail, and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Fontanazza) (8-1) - $125K purchase tired late after having a good spot to strike from here Jan. 7. It was a useful debut and she was 3.5 lengths in back of 'Battle Flag.' She's worked fast since, and is a 'live' longshot with Javier Castellano staying aboard.
4th pick: #7 (Mauras Forever) (20-1) - She has some early speed and is racing third back from a two month break. Competitive several times at this level and distance, filly is capable of getting a share at a very big price.
