Given some time to recover, trainer Chad Brown (29% second time out) has worked her five times since and has Javier Castellano aboard for this attempt.
2nd pick: #4 (Kallio) (7-2) - Daughter of 'Scat Daddy' rallied strongly to miss by a 1/2-length when debuting going a mile here at this level Jan. 7. She worked fast Jan. 28 and is an obvious win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Sweet Sting) (10-1) - Longshot raced both wide and evenly when debuting at a mile on the Aqueduct turf Dec. 3. She's worked a half-dozen times at the Palm Meadows center since then, and trainer Jimmy Jerkens adds both blinkers and lasix.
4th pick: #8 (Kathy's Clown) (12-1) - No speed type has made up some ground late in a pair at this meet going shorter $200,000 daughter of 'Malibu Moon' should enjoy this nine-furlong trip, and it's noted that Irad Ortiz, Jr. is aboard for the first time.
5th pick: #2 (Kensington) (10-1) - Home bred daughter of 'Kitten's Joy' has been working above average at Payson Park for her debut. This is a tough distance for a first timer, and the field is deep, so she may need a race before showing her best.
