Filly raced evenly when debuting Sept. 21 at Belmont, then tired after setting the pace Oct. 20 at Keeneland. Working steadily at Palm Meadows, she has a good shot at a big price in a wide open contest.
2nd pick: #4 (Sister Hanan) (7-2) - She ralied while wide to finish 2nd of 12, missing by just under a length going nine furlongs Nov. 16 at Churchill Downs. It was a major improvement off her dirt debut Sept. 15, and she's an obvious threat today.
3rd pick: #11 (Wajeeha) (3-1) - A home bred by 'Medaglia d'Oro,' she finished last of six, beaten 3.5 lengths debuting at Belmont going seven furlongs Oct. 14. In the barn of Chad Brown, 27% second time out, he stretches her out in distance and has her working well above average at the Palm Meadows Center. I would like her more, but her marooned post hurts her chances.
4th pick: #5 (Keep the Main Thing) (6-1) - Home bred by 'Bodemeister' has made up good ground in both starts and had excuses in each, Away slowly in her debut at Keeneland, she then had a tough outside post Nov. 16 at Churchill Downs. A stretch threat today.
5th pick: #8 (Lady Rosalie) (4-1) - Irish import has been competitive in four straight at this level on the grass. Stalker ships from Kentucky in shape and must be left in the mix.
