Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (AWARD WINNER) (6-1) - Home bred son of 'Ghostzapper' raced evenly when debuting in a 7-furlong contest Oct. 28 at Churchill Downs. He's been working very fast at the Palm Meadows Training Center for this attempt, is stretching out to a mile, and Jose Ortiz is aboard.
2nd pick: #9 (French Revolution) (4-1) - One of two entered by trainer Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. A son of 'Union Rags', colt makes his debut and draws a fine outside post out of the mile chute. Pletcher (24% first out) originally prepared him at Belmont, but he's bee training since early Nov at the Palm Beach Downs Center.
3rd pick: #2 (Bebeau) (7-2) - The second of the Pletcher trained colts, son of 'Bernardini' sold for $400,000 as a yearling back in Sept. of 2017. He's been in steady training at the Palm Beach Downs Center since mid-September and has Javier Castellano aboard.
4th pick: #8 (Thetrashmaniscoming) (8-1) - Improving colt rallied from far back to finish second at this distance on a sloppy surface Nov. 9 at Churchill Downs. He's a late threat but may need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a minor award.
