Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (INTEREST) (3-1) - Well bred filly broke her maiden here at this distance for a $25K tag Dec. 5. Claimed away from Todd Pletcher that afternoon by Saffie Joseph, Jr., she showed nothing in an 'off the turf' contest Feb. 1, then had no chance March 13 when she stumbled badly in a grass event. Down in class and racing with blinkers off today, she meets a weak field and I like her prospects.
2nd pick: #4 (La Tres Jolie) (6-1) - Filly has had trouble breaking cleanly in three straight facing tougher and finished well within range in her last pair. The latest saw her miss by 3.5 lengths for a $20K tag March 18 in what was her first ever on the grass. It earned her a career best figure and an alert beginning makes her dangerous.
3rd pick: #7 (Silly Notion) (7-2) - She rallied from far back to win by a 'head' debuting at Tampa Bay Downs for a $16K tag going 8.5 furlongs Feb. 23. It was a good effort, but the figure earned was small, so she'll have to do better in this spot. That's not out of the question against this weak group.
4th pick: #3 (Fiamma Mamma) (15-1) - Unraced since Jan. 1, she's training steadily and will be racing on the grass for the first time. Filly has early speed and could be in this a long ways at a big price if she handles the surface change.
