Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (MO OF THE WEST) (7-2) - This daughter of 'Uncle Mo' sold for $300,000 as a 2yo in training in March of last year. She debuted here at this level going a mile March 6 and missed by 3.5 lengths after being bumped and having a very wide trip. Both the winner and show horse that day won their next starts, and I think this filly can win with a better journey.
2nd pick: #3 (Awesome Ella) (5-2) - On the sidelines since Dec. 1, she was competitive in all three starts on the So. California circuit facing 'open' special weight foes. In with fellow Florida-breds for the first time, she's working steadily and has Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard. A win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Key Biscayne) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, this home-bred missed by a 1/2-length going a mile facing 'open' special weight competition March 29. It was her first race in eight months and is facing state-breds today. An obvious win candidate.
4th pick: #2 (Aizu) (5-1) - She rallied to finish 2nd of eight, missing by just under two lengths at this level going a mile March 26. It was her first race in 3.5 months, her first on the grass, and it was a positive outing. However, this field drew much tougher, so she needs to step it up in this spot.
