Top pick: #7 (GOODTIMEHADBYALL) (2-1) - On the sidelines since Dec. 6, he just missed here that day in a $110K stakes going 7-furlongs. Training well since, the successful Jorge Navarro drops him down and stretches him back out to a mile. Veteran has gone 10-3-0-4 at this distance in the past and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Simmstown) (7-2) - He raced wide and evenly here in a 6-furlong sprint stakes on Dec. 27. It was his first since January and he probably need the start anyway. Trainer Milt Wolfson drops him in class and stretches him out in distance .Working well for this, he's 2-for-3 at this trip in the past.
3rd pick: #3 (Cash Rules) (10-1) - A multiple stakes winner in the past, he showed nothing here facing tougher on Dec. 26. It was his first race in 13 1/2 months and only his third since Feb. of 2013. He's working fast lately and at one time would have dusted this group.
4th pick: #2 (Tiznaz) (9-2) - Lightly-raced, he ran evenly here at this level going 7-furlongs Jan. 15. It was his first since late July and he should be competitive with normal improvement in his second off the long layoff.
