Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (SLAIMY) (5-1) - Well backed when debuting here going shorter Dec. 31, he was a bit slow to settle before rallying to finish 6th, beaten just under two lengths. Trainer Todd Pletcher (33% second time out) has worked him twice since, stretches him out in distance, and Javier Castellano stays aboard.
2nd pick: #10 (Appealing Briefs) (9-2) - Improving New York bred gas finished 2nd in two straight. The latest of those came here at this level and distance Dec. 26. Strong finisher has an experience edge on most and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Unspoiled Moments) (8-1) - Home bred by 'Kitten's Joy' rallied to finish 4th here going a bit shorter Jan. 7. It came off just under a two-month rest and it earned him a career best figure. He's worked well since and trainer Josie Carroll has John Velazquez back on the re-ride.
4th pick: #13 (Snap Decision) (6-1) - Phipp's home bred has finished close up in both starts. He's working fast, but will need to work out a trip from his tough outside post.
5th pick: #14 (Data Room) (12-1) - From trainer Chad Brown, colt has been freshened up since Oct. 8. Competitive in one of two, he's training nicely at Palm Meadows and is another who can factor if able to avoid a wide journey.
