Top pick: #4 (BIG BLUE SPIRIT) - English import finished second of 24 when debuting at the famous Curragh course in Ireland in late Sept., then rallied to finish second here at this level going a mile Dec. 29. Colt had early traffic issues that day and should love this 9-furlong distance.
2nd pick: #6 (Coach Royal) - He raced very wide in his local debut after breaking from a tough outside post and draws much better in this spot. The 9-furlong trip should be a plus for his style.
3rd pick: #10 (Punctual Jeff) - Colt has some ability and finished second here at this level on Dec. 22. In a good barn(Chad Brown) and a win candidate from close range.
4th pick: #2 (Z Camelot) - Expensive ($550K) son of "Smart Strike" had all sorts of problems last out and did well to finish fourth, beaten just over a length racing here at this distance.
