Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (SARGEANT DRIVE) (8-1) - Both blinkers and Lasix are added to this home bred son of 'Tapit'. He's raced evenly in his first pair sprinting on the dirt and is switched to the grass while stretching out in distance. Bred for both changes, colt shows three straight half-mile breezes on the turf course at Payson Park. He has a solid shot at a big price.
2nd pick: #11 (The Presidency) (6-1) - Home bred by 'War Front' has raced evenly in his first pair on the grass and had excuses in both. He was bumped at the break and was forced into a wide trip in his debut Oct. 25 at Belmont, then was wide and between horses most of the way Nov. 30 at Aqueduct. For this attempt trainer Jimmy Jerkens has leading rider Luis Saez aboard.
3rd pick: #10 (Funny Duck) (7-2) - Colt rallied to miss my a 1/2 length going 9 furlongs on the Churchill Downs grass course Nov. 25. By far a career best, it was his first with Lasix administered and he enters off a bullet half-mile breeze at the Palm Meadows Training Center Dec. 30. Stretch threat.
4th pick: #6 (Golden Challenge) (10-1) - One of eight entered that are making their debuts, this son of 'Medaglia d'Oro' worked a half-dozen times here during December for trainer Ralph Nicks (22% first out). It's noted that he has John Velazquez aboard this $425,000 purchase. May factor if ready.
