Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (IRWIN) (7-2) - Gelding by 'Animal Kingdom' races for the first time since Dec. 23 and off a private sale. He sold for $100,000 as a 2-year-old in training last March but has shown little in his first five starts. He's been racing evenly and his new trainer (Oscar Gonzalez) has him working well above average. Think he's ready for a big effort.
2nd pick: #6 (Captain Bober) (4-1) - Florida bred was bumped at the break and raced evenly once in stride debuting here at this tag and trip Jan. 21. Good barn (Dave Fawkes) has worked him since and home bred can factor with a trouble free beginning.
3rd pick: #2 (Il Biondo) (8-1) - Colt has been on the sidelines since Oct. 26. He has early speed, is working fast, and breaks just off the rail. Look for him to be in front a long ways at a square price.
4th pick: #5 (Cape Marco Drive) (15-1) - No-speed type has rallied to pick up minor awards several times and is capable of doing so again this afternoon at a big price.
