Top pick: #1 (KILLER PARTNER) (7-2) - She was bet down to 5-2 when debuting here in a 5-furlong grass sprint on Jan. 10th. Filly rallied strongly to finish second and is stretching out to 7.5-furlongs this afternoon. She has the rail, Castellano stays aboard, and she's the horse to beat.
nd pick: #2 (Tapitry) (4-1) - Nice debut here going a mile on Jan. 4th. $240K grey filly by 'Tapit' was bumped at the break and recovered to check in fourth of 11, beaten just over two lengths. She's worked twice, and trainer 'Shug' McGaughey is very good second time out (26%).
rd pick: #8 (Stormy Alexis) (9-2) - Filly just missed here at this level and distance Jan. 15th. A career best it was her first race in two months and first for trainer George Weaver. Irish-bred must be left in the win mix.
th pick: #5 (Sweet Maya) (20-1) - Longshot has been on the sidelines since early Sept. Training nicely for her return, she raced evenly in her three starts last year. May grab a share at a big price.
th pick: #10 (Barbadia) (8-1) - She tired badly last out racing on the dirt. Lasix is added, and trainer Bill Mott has her on the grass for the first time.
