It was her first off a Ramon Moya claim and he has her working fast for this assignment. Several years ago Moya had a very high win percentage and specialized in improving recent claims. Filly looks set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #1 (Manhattan Moxie) (3-1) - Speedy grey filly broke her maiden here in gate-to-wire style at this distance Dec 16. A career best overall, it was her first ever on conventional dirt. Sent to the grass Jan 8 in her first facing winners, 4-year-old tired after setting a pressured pace. She's worked well since, drops in class, and is back on the main track.
3rd pick: #5 (Wildinthestreets) (5-1) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old drops a bit and goes an extra furlong for this attempt. Filly rallied while wide to check in fourth of 10, beaten 6 1/2 lengths going seven furlongs here in the slop Jan 17. New York bred broke her maiden in a one-turn mile (like this) Oct 16 at Laurel.
4th pick: #7 (Abatare) (4-1) - She's facing winners for the first time. Four-year-old by 'Summer Bird' broke her maiden here at this tag and trip Jan 3. It was only her third back off a seven month layoff and she's worked fast twice since. She should factor right back.
