Top pick: #7 (CENTRIQUE) (5-2) - She's shortening up in distance following a pair of back-to-back wire-to-wire wins here going longer. Veteran mare is 12-for-35 racing on the dirt and is 5-for-8 locally. A near bullet half-mile breeze on Feb. 1 suggests she remain sharp.
2nd pick: #8 (Wildcat Lily) (5-2) - A stakes winner many times over, she's dropping in class after a pair of local efforts at that higher level. She tired last out in the $150K "Sunshine Million's Distaff," but had finished a strong second in the G3 "Sugar Swirl" in her previous start. Working fast and a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Defoe Street) (10-1) - Not as accomplished as the top two picks, strong finisher is going turf to dirt and shortening up in distance. She would need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a small slice.
4th pick: #3 (Making Havoc) (6-1) - Mare chased and tired to finish 5 lengths back of "Centrique" here on Dec. 26. It was her first in two months and she's been working well since. Five-year-old has a fine local record 7-3-1-1 and is capable of impacting with her best.
